Big T with creamy tomato sauce and steamed cabbage

Did white cabbage until now not sound so yummy? This recipe makes cabbage tasty again. It is steamed in a pan and comes out crisp and is then served with the spicy Big T and a creamy sauce. This recipe is particularly suitable for those who like to eat low carb.

Big T with creamy tomato sauce and steamed cabbage

Amount: for 2 burgers

  • 1 x 2 „The Big T“ Patties
  • 1 white cabbage
  • 1 cup (200g) whipped cream
  • 3 teaspoons tomato paste and/or ajvar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Fresh parsley
  • Pepper and salt



  • Sharp knife
  • Cutting board
  • Large pan or wok
  • Small sauce pan
  • Small pot
  • Small bowl or jar


Here´s how:

  1. Cut the cabbage into thin strips with a knife or food processor
  2. Heat up the butter in a pan and add the cabbage
  3. Steam the cabbage on a medium heat for about 15 minutes while turning it regularly, season with salt and pepper
  4. Place the frozen patties with enough oil in a second preheated pan and fry until golden brown for 5-6 minutes
  5. Meanwhile, mix the cream with the tomato paste and / or the ajvar and boil the mixture briefly in a saucepan
  6. Place the patties and the cooked cabbage on a plate and spread the sauce over them
  7. Sprinkle the dish with parsley and enjoy!
